Inauguration of World Economic Forum on East Asia (2013) was held at Myanmar International Convention Center (MICC) in Nay Pyi Taw.
Hosting the Forum provides an opportunity for Myanmar to showcase its achievements in re-engaging with the global community and in advancing the economic transition.
The FY2013/14 budget has been approved by the parliament, and further raises spending on health, education and infrastructure, after significant increases last year.
